Nancy M. Davis, CPPB, CPPO, VCO
Nancy Davis has 26 years experience in state purchasing and 9 years of purchasing experience in private sector. She has been teaching purchasing classes for 21 years. Nancy has worked for several state agencies and currently serves as the Contracts and Procurement Director at DMV.
Nancy is a member of the Capital Area Purchasing Association (CAPA), the Virginia Association of Governmental Purchasing (VAGP) and the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP). She served in multiple director and officer positions and as President of both CAPA and VAGP chapters in 1997 and 2005 respectively.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Education. She earned the CPPB certification in 1991, the CPPO in 1993, and the VCO in 1996. She has served NIGP as an instructor for classes at national Forums; a curriculum developer and text reviewer for the LEAP Program and on the NIGP Education Committee. Nancy is the only purchaser from Virginia awarded NIGP’s Professional Buyer of the Year in 2000. She also earned the VAGP Professional Buyer of the Year Award in 2000. She has received the Governor’s Career Achievement Award in 2006; VAGP’s Professional Manager of the Year Award in 2006; and VAGP’s Distinguished Service Award in 2008. Nancy is a NIGP Master Instructor teaching procurement-related classes nationwide.
