I have worked for Mecklenburg County for 15+ years. I started off doing front line IT support for Social Services (DSS). After a year, I was promoted to specialist position where I did network support and handled all the IT purchasing and asset management for DSS. In 2005, Mecklenburg County consolidated all IT services. I became the manager over IT purchasing and IT Asset Management for all of Mecklenburg County. During that time I also managed the County's Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and the Ricoh contract for multifunction machines. In June 2013, IT purchasing was moved under Mecklenburg County Business Support Services' (BSSA) financial team. My position was given IT Asset Management, to include software asset management (SAM); Contract Management, where I manage the County's Ricoh contract and Dunbar Armored Car contract and I review new contracts before they go to the County Attorney and County Manager.
