Over the course of the past few days, we have received requests from our procurement family in Colorado. Our hearts and prayers go out to our friends and family who are suffering, who have lost and who need help during this disaster. What else can we do to help? Well, we can take action! Our 2013 Forum was all about Connecting Procurement Communities. We now have an opportunity to put that theme and concept into action in our daily lives. As one part of our community suffers, the others parts rise to their aide. Our friends in Colorado have asked for help with information. Will you help?
First, I ask that you spread the word to your NIGP colleagues in your agency, your chapter and your region. Please ask them to get on NIGP's nSite. There, we have two communities that are being utilized as resources for the Colorado community: Purch Issues and Emergency Management. On those sites, you'll see specific requests for assistance. We have already started seeing some assistance, such as the outreach by our own Paul Brennan, as well as NIGP staff. But, more help is needed and we'll continue to see requests come in for specific things.
So, here's another chance for you to make a difference. Help someone in need! Whether you are new or a seasoned veteran, whether you are in California or Toronto, you may have just what someone needs. The only way to find out is to log on and engage. So spread the word....please!
Colorado, we are here to help!!
