Remembering 9-11

It's overwhelming to read all the social media posts and hear all the news about this day in America's history.  I found it particularly interesting to see the international communities social media posts about honoring 9-11 for America.  That gives me great hope that we are all much closer than we may seem whether by location, by perspective or by background.  So, as we are in the throws of discussions about what to do about various conflicts overseas, as we seem to continue to argue at home about this piece of politics or that, as we continue to see news about various horrible things, I feel that days like today remind us how alike we really are.  That in our hearts, we want many of the same things......love, hope, a sense of belonging, a sense of accomplishment, connection to our faith and a connection to friends and family.  So, wherever you are, whatever you do and however you choose to remember, I ask that you not only remember the great sacrifices of 9-11, but also to look for ways to remember what you  can do each and every day to connect and inspire those around you.  Each of us make an impact and have an affect (positively or negatively).....the smallest of stones creates a ripple that can grow exponentially.  God bless all those who lost loved ones this fateful day and God bless all those who defend freedom and democracy around the world.
