Candidate must earn a minimum of 36 contact hours in Continuing Education Activities
Individuals may earn up to 25% of their contact hours via teaching, instructing or developing public procurement content.
The candidate is not required to remain employed in the procurement profession at the time of re-certification but must confirm adherence to the NIGP-CPP Code of Ethics.
NIGP will automatically upload all contact hours you have earned through NIGP's Learning Management System (Aspire) into your individualized NIGP-CPP record. This includes webinars, seminars, certificate programs, virtual conferences, and the annual Forum and Products Exposition as well as all learning activities produced by NIGP. You can also manually enter additional contact hours at any time by accessing your online NIGP-CPP portal. We welcome learning that is provided by our NIGP Chapter affiliates, our collegial associations, educational institutions, and training providers
The fee structure for re-certification is not yet determined but will likely be introduced in the $125 to $150 range. There is also discussion around the parameters for issuing a NIGP-CPP Retired Certification. A lifetime NIGP-CPP Certification is unlikely; as it is believed that continuous education is critical for those still practicing in procurement.
