FAQs Virtual Forum 2020


  • NSite.pngWhen will I receive log in information?

    All registered attendees will receive login information starting one week prior to the start of the Forum, if you have preregistered prior to August 17.  After that date, we will send out daily emails to late registrants.  To ensure you receive these emails, please add info@vconferenceonline.com to your approved senders list.

  • NSite.pngHow do I view individual sessions?

    During each day of the virtual conference, the sessions will unfold one at a time according to the schedule posted on the website and in the mobile app. While the session is playing live during the event, you will not be able to rewind or start from the beginning, so we encourage you to arrive on time for each session. After a session airs, you will be able to access the “On Demand Videos” tab and watch previously played sessions. Each session will run an hour to an hour and 15 minutes.

  • NSite.pngHow do I interact and ask questions during the educational sessions?

    During educational sessions, presenters will be available live and will interact using the CHAT window to field your questions and comments throughout the duration of their session. Please feel free to ask questions at any time during the session. Also, make sure to network with other attendees – share where you’re from, your agency, what session you’re most looking forward to and more!

  • NSite.pngHow do I participate in the live networking sessions?

    All agency based and topic-based networking sessions will be conducted live using Zoom. Links to the Zoom networking rooms will be provided within the vConferenceonline platform. You are free to move about rooms to participate in whatever session you like.

  • NSite.pngAre there any social activities taking place during the virtual Forum?

    Yes! Please check the schedule to find interactive live activities, including social events. We kick of most mornings with virtual coffee socials for special interest groups. We are also hosting a virtual happy hour in the Virtual Exhibit Hall.

  • NSite.pngHow can I access presentation handouts?

    Session handouts are available for download within the vConferenceOnline platform within each session. Handouts are also available on the virtual Forum mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Apple or GooglePlay stores. NIGP encourages you to be mindful of the environment and only print the pages you need.

  • NSite.pngHow many contact hours will I receive for my full participation in the virtual Forum?

    This event entitles participants to earn up to 18 contact hours by attending at least one session per timeslot throughout the week of Forum. We recommend planning your session schedule in advance as there are over 50 sessions to choose from over seven different educational session tracks.

  • NSite.pngWill sessions be available for viewing after the virtual Forum ends?

    Yes, the virtual Forum event will be available for on-demand viewing through December 31, 2020.

  • NSite.pngDo I need to sign up for specific sessions?

    No, you can attend any session you wish by going to the appropriate session room. If you start in one room, but the content just isn’t what you thought, feel free to move about the conference and find the topic that best suits your needs.

  • NSite.pngHow can I connect with other attendees?

    Connections happen in a number of ways! During educational sessions you can interact with the presenters and other attendees through the chat feature. While participating in networking sessions, you’ll be able to interact live via Zoom. You can also connect using the virtual Forum mobile app. Find other attendees in the Attendee module and click the “Let’s Meet” button to send an email.  Finally, the 2020 Virtual Forum Nsite community is a great platform to post messages and connect with others.

  • NSite.pngHow do I receive updates on conference information?

    Any schedule changes or last-minute updates will be announced through mobile app as an Alert. Please make sure you have your “Alerts” turned on to receive these updates.

  • NSite.pngHow can I access the exhibit hall?

    The exhibit hall will be open 24/7 during the live event, and on demand through December 31. There are dedicated exhibit hall hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for you to visit our virtual exhibitors. During this time you may find live interactions with some exhibitors, so take advantage of that opportunity during these dedicated show hours.

  • NSite.pngWhat do I do if I have technical issues during the live Forum?

    If you experience any technical issues during the virtual Forum, email “Event Tech Support” using the green button. Should you have any further issues after contacting our virtual conference platform tech support, please reach out to us directly at virtualevents@nigp.org.

  • NSite.pngHow do I download the mobile app?

    NIGP-2020-App-Icon-1024-x-1024.pngThe mobile app will be available in mid-August. Search NIGP Forum 2020 in the GooglePlay or App stores to download. We will use the app throughout the forum to make updates (via alerts), play games, connect with exhibitors and attendees. You can also build your schedule in the app so you know which sessions you’d most like to attend.
