Joanne Flick began her Public Purchasing career at the City of Winter Park in 1988. In 1992 she joined Orange County's Purchasing and Contracts Division as the Contracts Supervisor.
In 2006, Joanne accepted a position at the City of Daytona Beach as their Purchasing Agent. At the “World’s Most Famous Beach”, Joanne has expanded her purchasing horizons beyond a/e/c contracting into commodity and service purchasing.
Mrs. Flick holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York and has been an NIGP member and FAPPO since 1993 and has been actively involved with the Design-Build Institute of America since 1998. She has served as the Treasurer of the Central Florida Chapter of NIGP for the past two years and has served as both secretary and president of the Florida DBIA Region has served on the jury for the Design-Build Excellence Awards, and has served for several years as the DBIA Water Owner’s Group Chair. She was awarded the DBIA Meritorious Service Award as well as the DBIA Florida Chapter Distinguished Service Award in 2006. Joanne has presented education sessions on numerous educational seminars on design-build and various other architectural, engineering and construction related Purchasing topics.
