Bio

My career with the local government began in May 2002 as a temporary Administrative Assistant with the City of Sanford in the Utilities department through a temp agency.  After six months I was officially hired by the City as a contractual employee with no benefits for approximately four (4) years.  On October 1, 2006, I was officially hired, full time, with full benefits as the Administrative Assistance (due to some challenges).  As the Administrative Assistance I assisted the following: Utility Director, Utility Engineer, Water Resource Engineer, Customer Service Support Manager and Utility Customer Service Supervisor for approximately six (6) years.     

In 2008, I applied for the Purchasing Technician position (within the City), after an extensive interview I was offered the position as the new Purchasing Technician within the City of Sanford in the Finance Department assisting the Purchasing Manager, from May 2008 to July 2016. 

On August 1, 2016, I was hired as the new Procurement Specialist for the City of Casselberry. During this year I was able to experience extensive training with my Procurement Manager that led me to apply for the Purchasing Manager position with the City of Sanford.  As of today, I have reached a level of Management, a goal that has become a reality.  When you believe in yourself and set goals, then anything is possible, it can happen. My career has taken a major shift and I hope that I can develop a relationship with many procurement managers, professors, and trainers to improve my understanding in the procurement industry. All things are possible!
