Keith Glatz has over 45 years of public procurement experience, beginning his career immediately upon graduating from the University of Illinois in 1978. Keith is a recognized subject matter expert in the field of public procurement who is often identified as the "face" of professional, ethical and transparent public procurement in South Florida (and many other locales as well).

Keith currently serves as the Procurement & Contracts Manager for the City of Tamarac, Florida and has held that position since September, 2003.  Prior to that he held public procurement positions with the Village of Skokie, Illinois, the County of Lake Illinois, and the State of Illinois.

Keith received his CPPO (Certified Public Purchasing Officer) certification in 1993, and his NIGP-CPP certification in 2021, and has recently recertified for both certifications.

Keith served as the first Chair of the NIGP Governing Board, serving in that position from 2015 to 2016, and most recently as a member of the NIGP Mentorship Committee, serving as it's founding Chair from 2019 to 2021. Keith was also the founding Chair of the previous Marketing Committee. He has also chaired or served on the Finance Committee and numerous NIGP task forces.

Keith, in addition to his national experience, has had significant local chapter experience as well, and is a two (2) term past President of the Southeast Florida Chapter of NIGP, and a three (3) term past president of the Illinois Association of Public Procurement Officials (IAPPO).

Keith has chaired the FAPPO Entity Awards Committee and has managed the FAPPO Award of Excellence and Best Practice Award Program since 2006.

Keith has been conducting training sessions for NIGP since 1995, and is currently a part of the NIGP Instructor Pool, and in addition has presented at many NIGP Forums, Chapter meetings and has been sought out as a speaker for many other professional associations, community events, seminars and conferences over the long span of his career. He also has previously served as a member NIGP Consulting team.

Keith received the NIGP Professional Manager of the Year Award in August, 2007 and the NIGP Anne Deatherage Meritorious Service Award in August, 2019.

Keith's involvement in local and statewide has resulted in his also receiving the George Wolf Distinguished Service Award in 2020, which is the highest award achievable from the Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials (FAPPO).  Keith also won the FAPPO Above and Beyond Award from FAPPO in 2019. At the NIGP Chapter level, Keith received  "Manager of the Year" awards from both the Southeast Florida Chapter of NIGP and the IAPPO chapter.

Keith has recently become involved as one of the founding Directors of Mujeres en Paz (Women in Freedom), a newly formed 501.c.3 Not for Profit organization that provides assistance and resources for women who are attempting to escape abusive relationships, or who have been the victim of stalking.

Keith believes that it's not so much about what you've done, but all about the value that you bring to the organization by giving of yourself in service.
