Good morning,
On a piggyback contract I know that the vendor must agree to give you the same prices as the originating organization, but if they quote you a lower price, is it still okay to piggyback?
Thanks,
Malina

Be careful with this, as many cooperative contracts and even many agency contracts are 'discount off list price' agreements where percentages may fluctuate between renewal years...

Hi Malina,
It is the City's policy..... If the contract you are piggybacking states in the contract the right to negotiate lower prices then we will allow. If the contract is silent on this right we cannot accept it. In our opinion if we did accept the lower price then we are no longer piggybacking that contract.
